Zwinger vom Rollen-wiese is located on 20 acres of beautiful gently rolling hills. We are located near Weatherford, Texas in Parker County. Weatherford is described by it's Chamber of Commerce as; A town that’s as close to the big city as you need it to be; yet as far away from it all as you want it to be. It’s a town where people still smile at each other and wave as they pass by. It’s community with a family oriented way of life that makes it one of the premier places to live in the north Texas area. Our kennel is nestled inside 500,000 acres of rich, rugged, down to earth country terrain on 20 acres. There are several head of cattle, a beautiful horse ranch, several ponds, a private lake, private boating; skiing; fishing as well as hunting. We have a large indoor/outdoor facility with air conditioned and heated kennels. This beautiful setting allows us to give our dogs a wonderful stimulating environment. Although our dogs are taught to be comfortable in their kennels, they are part of our family and are taught house manners from the time their little paws can walk, allowing them to live indoors with the family. We are not a big breeding kennel, this is only a hobby and we do not have litters all year around. I only breed to produce some nice show puppies for myself; however I will announce any upcoming breedings and available puppies. We breed West German showlines with correct conformation and drives. My breeding stock all come from titled, breed surveyed, hip/elbow certified dogs with carefully researched pedigrees. Any future breeding stock come from parents that fulfill minimum requirements under the German rules and regulations (SV) for breeding. My goal in producing a show quality litter is important but my primary goal is to produce a beautiful, healthy puppy that will grow up to be structurally sound and balanced. I have been around the german shepherd breed for the past 10 years and am still learning. I am able to pursue my love for the breed with the wonderful help of my husband whom funds this hobby, two great sons and a daughter in law that are always willing to help when needed. This is truly a joint venture and we all work as a team, including grandchildren, nieces and nephews that help socializing our puppies as well as our adult dogs. In addition I have numerous german shepherd breeder friends and trainers that have helped to guide me. To them I owe many thanks. Located just 20 minutes west of downtown Fort Worth, 1 hour from downtown Dallas and less than 2 hours east of Abilene. Weatherford has easy access to major transportation corridors. Interstate I-20 is within the city limits and the split to I-30 is only minutes east of town.
