Esko vom Tal der Schatten

Esko has been a joy to raise. He comes from excellent and well known german bloodlines. This dog has a very stable temperament, yet is protective of his home. He is a large, very beautiful and loving dog. He is currently being raised indoors with his family which includes a poodle, boston terrier and my 9 year old granddaughter. Esko makes daily trips to school and loves his daily walks. He has good drives and is very intelligent, "sometimes too smart for his own good". He has never met a stranger! We look forward to many more memories with Esko which include showing him in confomation...

Esko second show was as exciting as his first. He was shown at the South Central Regional Conformation and Breed Survey Show under SV Judge Herr Wilfred Scheld. We continue to be very proud of his accopmlishment and look forward to his next endeavor. Esko will begin training for narcotics and tracking. We will post pictures and accomplishments as they become available.

March 2007, Esko begins Narcotics Training

Esko is now almost 11 months old and will now begin a new journey in training as a narcotics k9/dual purpose drug dog. We are very proud of Esko and all his accomplishments. He comes from excellent breeding and is truly an amazing, smart dog and there is no doubt that he will excel in this new endeavor. We would like to thank "US Tactical K9 Law Enforcement Academy" and Trainer Malinda Julien and staff for all their help in the coming months. We could not do this without you. Come back and watch Esko's progress, pictures coming soon....

May 2007, Esko taking a break from training.

Currently Esko is back home resting both physically and mentally from his narcotics training. We were proud to learn that he is coming along great and is becoming a very methodical tracker. He has a great nose and takes his time before he alerts. After a short rest and relaxation, Esko and his handler will return to training for their K9 Certification which will be followed by his BH title.

August 2007, Esko and handler return for certification.

Well the time has come for Esko to return to his narcotics training. He and his handler will go for their Level One K9 certification and then Esko will continue training for his Level Two and Three followed by more certification for both handler and K9.

August 2007, Esko is now a Certified Narcotics K9

We are so proud to announce that Esko and Sgt. Justin Ramon (handler) are now Certified as Level One Narcotics K9. This has been a dream come true for Esko's handler and now they will continue their training for Level's Two, Three and Four. Way to go Esko and Justin!!!We knew you could do it....

October 2007, Esko showing in UKC Denton, Texas.

While Esko takes a much needed break from his narcotics training, we have been showing him in UKC conformation. This not only gives Esko some conformation ring training, but also gets him out into the public. He has done very well in this circuit and received numerous Best of Breed placings and Best in Group placings. We are also very proud that he received his UKC Championship this weekend. Now we will prepare for Esko to win his UKC Grand Championship. This has taken dedication and consistent preparation on both Esko's part as well as the handlers. We would like to thank US Tactical K9 Law Enforcement Adademy trainers as well as their handlers for helping us accomplish this.

December 2007, Esko showing in UKC Hutto, Texas.

Once again Esko made us proud and received placings in Best of Breed and Best of Group and also received 2 Grand Passes towards his Grand Championship. Way to Go Esko, we are so proud of you!!!

February 2008

Well it's time for Esko to return to further training at US Tactical K9 Law Enforcement Academy. This time we will be working on Esko's CGC, AKC Rally Novice and his CD and his UKC Grand Championship. A short break and then it's back for more training in which he will begin his training for his Level Two Narcotic certification.

May 2009

Today is Memorial Day and a visit to the lake to cool off. As usual Esko loves the water and once in you can't get him out. The water is a real treat for Esko. Of course his buddy Yoda came along also.
